A "Summer Scholar" is a rising 3rd–5th grader who is:
- Ready to learn: Curious, focused during academic blocks, and able to follow multi-step instructions.
- Self-sufficient: Independent with personal needs and does not require one-on-one behavioral or physical support.
- Community-minded: Respectful and encouraging regarding their peers and team environment.
- Active & Enthusiastic: Energetic and excited about participating in daily movement, line dancing, and communication exercises
